Graham Curtin traces its origins back to 1979, when lawyers from the Newark firms of Carpenter, Bennett & Morrissey and Robinson, Wayne & Greenberg joined forces to form a new partnership for the practice of law. Jerome J. Graham, Jr., one of New Jersey’s finest trial attorneys and himself a former partner at Carpenter, Bennett & Morrissey, joined the firm in 1983. The firm moved to its current offices in Morristown in 1987 when Thomas R. Curtin came on board. Tom became president of the New Jersey State Bar Association in 1993.

Peter G. Sheridan, now a United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey, joined the firm in 1995. In 1996 the firm reorganized as a professional services corporation under the name Graham, Curtin & Sheridan, A Professional Association. Following Judge Sheridan’s appointment to the federal bench the firm’s name was shortened to Graham Curtin.

After an illustrious legal career that included his election to the American College of Trial Lawyers, Jerry Graham retired from the practice of law in 2013. His legacy of excellence continues to inform and inspire the legal work of the firm that proudly bears his name.

In 2017 Graham Curtin celebrates its thirtieth year at Headquarters Plaza in Morristown. We look forward to continuing to serve our clients and the community for many years to come.
